The #1 Cheddar Cheese Brand Just Debuted Frozen Dinners for the First Time

Even those of us who love to cook appreciate a well-made frozen meal that we can pop in the oven after a long day. A new line of frozen meals are coming to the grocery store’s freezer aisle, and we’re excited because of the brand behind them.

If you’re familiar with the Tillamook dairy brand, you’ll know the Oregon-based co-op prides itself on quality products. Its ice cream is so good that even professional chefs keep the brand’s ice cream sandwiches in their freezers. In a survey of the favorite junk food in each state, Tillamook ice cream beat out all other snacks in Oregon. 

The brand is known for its dairy products such as ice cream, cheese, sour cream, yogurt, cream cheese, and butter. Now, it’s launching a line of frozen foods that “are made with high-quality real ingredients and feature craveable, chef-inspired recipes so you can enjoy a premium, restaurant-quality meal fresh from your oven to your table.”

Tillamook’s New Frozen Pizza and Mac & Cheese

If you’re a dairy brand, and you want to capture your customer’s attention with a new line of frozen products, pizza and mac and cheese seem like the right products to do so, don’t they? Tillamook thought so, too, and that’s where it’s starting with its first-ever frozen meals. 

The pizzas are topped with a trio of Tillamook cheeses that include medium yellow Cheddar, whole-milk mozzarella, and Monterey Jack. Each pizza has a stone-fired crust and a “savory red sauce.” There are four varieties that are set to drop in October, and they all sound pretty darn good. 

• Cheesy Uncured Pepperoni
• Three Cheese
• Three Cheese Supreme (with uncured pepperoni, Italian sausage, peppers and onions)
• Cheesy BBQ Chicken (with white-meat chicken, red onions, cilantro, and tangy BBQ sauce)

The mac and cheese is already in select stores. It’s made with jumbo macaroni noodles, a creamy sauce, and Tillamook cheeses. It comes in three delicious-sounding varieties.

• Classic Cheddar (with aged medium and sharp Cheddar cheeses topped with buttery herbed pretzel crumbs)
• Sharp Cheddar & Uncured Bacon (with sharp white Cheddar and Monterey Jack cheese topped with uncured bacon and crispy onions)
• Cheddar & Hatch Chile (with aged sharp white Cheddar and Jack cheeses topped with Hatch green chiles and crispy cornbread crumbles)

Where to Get Tillamook’s New Frozen Meals

The mac & cheese varieties are currently available at select Target and Walmart stores. You can use the convenient “where to buy” feature on the dairy’s website that will show you which nearby stores carry Tillamook products and which products they have in stock. When the pizza varieties are available in October, you’ll be able to use the same website feature to find them.
